• Where can I find my Accountid and Subaccountid?

  The accountId and subAccountId are used in the context of the 8x8 SMS API to identify and manage different levels of accounts and subaccounts.

   

  •    accountId: This is the primary identifier for your main account. It is used to manage and access resources and services associated with your main account.

   

  •    subAccountId: This is used to identify subaccounts within your main account. Subaccounts allow you to segment and manage different parts of your service usage separately. For example, you might have different subaccounts for different departments or projects within your organization. The subAccountId is included in the URL when making API requests to specify which subaccount the request is targeting.
  
  The accountId and subAccountId can be found in your 8x8 Connect via API keys page. 
  
  

  

   

  Below we can see the Accountid is : test11_9tT31 with SubaccountId : test11_9tT31_hq. Your account may have multiple subaccounts which can be seen if you click the drop down in Subaccount ID.

  
  
  
  

• How do I import my contacts on the customer portal ?

  To quickly add a number of contacts on the customer portal, follow these steps: 

     1. Go to Contacts -> Import Contacts

     2. First, choose a file to upload your contacts. Ensure that the columns in your file have been arranged in the following format: <Mobile Number>, <First Name>, <Last Name>. Do note that you can only upload .csv, .txt and .xlsx files that are less than 30MB.

  

     3. Select a group where you want to add your contacts. You can also choose not to add your contacts to any groups.

  

   

  Note: If a group does not exist, you can start typing the name on the field provided and click on the name.

  

  5. Click on the “Start Processing” button and wait for your file to be processed. The processing time will be dependent on your file size.

   

  6. You can check your file once it starts processing or when it is ready, by looking at the Import History. You can choose to download the original file or the invalid rows in a single file to re-upload them.

  

  7. That’s it! You can now use the imported contacts you have just uploaded and start sending messages.

   From the wavecell website click "Log in" on the top right menu and you will be redirected to connect.8x8.com or simply type this address into your browser.
